Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, North East Japan. Kesennuma City is one of the worst affected areas by the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Northern East part of Japan on 11th March 2011. Every town by the shores has been swept away by 10-15 meter high tsunami after the M10 earthquake. People who escaped and climbed up on the hill survived but many still remain missing. Part of the town is still in water. There have been fires. Military (Jieitai) and rescue teams as well as the locals search family members that are still missing, look for their houses and take belongings. .15 Mar 2011
